Mission Statement We promote quality school health services by registered professional school nurses to advance the well being, academic success and lifelong achievements of students. The school nurse facilitates positive student responses to normal development; promotes health and safety; intervenes with actual and potential health problems; provides case management services; and actively collaborates with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self management, self advocacy and learning. |
Our Goals:
1. Plan and prepare to provide quality nursing care in the school setting
2. Develop a plan for promoting a healthy environment within the school community
3. Utilize the Nursing Process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementing, and Evaluation) as a system approach to problem solving in nursing practice.
4. Become familiar with and fulfill professional responsibilities.
