Timberlane Begins New Business Partnership With Sport Clips Of Plaistow

January 4, 2016

The Timberlane Regional School District Community Partnership Program is proud to announce a new Community Partnership with Sport Clips of Plaistow. Owner Dan Parisi is looking forward to supporting the high school business department and their current partnership with the Men’s Wearhouse Dress For Success Program. The Men’s Wearhouse program works with students around the issues of preparing for job interviews and Mr. Parisi and the Sport Clips staff has offered discounted haircuts for Timberlane Regional High School students as they prepare for any upcoming job or college interview. Mr. Parisi also looks forward to offering a discount program that would include donations to programs throughout the Timberlane District. Sport Clips has also been approved by the State Board of Labor and Education as an official site for student internships for our students. This approval allows the high school to place students at Sports Clips for school sponsored internships that could be used as Extended Learning Opportunities for credit. Sport Clips Plaistow was opened in October 2012, by small business owner, Dan Parisi. The sports-themed store specializes in haircuts for men and boys. Sport Clips is the “Official Haircutter” of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and was named as one of the “2016 Best for Vets: Franchises” by Military Times. Their “Help A Hero” program has raised more than $3 million to help deployed and hospitalized U.S. service members call home through the VFW’s Operation Uplink™ and to provide scholarships for veterans transitioning to a civilian career. Each year Sport Clips Plaistow works with local shelters to provide the areas homeless children with free haircuts for back to school. “We look forward to supporting the Timberlane Schools Community Partner program and their current partnership with the Men’s Warehouse Dress For Success Program” said owner Dan Parisi and we look forward to finding ways to help Sport Clips support other great endeavors within the school district.
