Increasing Diversity Awareness in Timberlane

September 30, 2016

The Timberlane Regional School District is pleased to announce that it will conduct Diversity Awareness training for Timberlane administrators in October.  The American Anti-Defamation League of New England will provide a two-part training for Timberlane’s Executive Leadership Academy (TELA) focused on the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to further develop and promote inclusive learning environments for all students in the Timberlane schools.

TELA co-chairs and district administrators, Debra Armfield and Christi Michaud, look forward to increasing understanding of diversity related issues and their importance on school communities.

Superintendent, Dr. Earl Metzler, established TELA, Timberlane’s Executive Leadership Academy in 2015 to provide administrators with training geared toward further developing effective leadership skills, and to ensure administrators have the knowledge and resources necessary to spearhead the efforts of rigor, accountability, evaluation, and support necessary to increase student achievement, and enhance district systems and programming.
