Notice Regarding Return to Remote Learning.

November 1, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians of Timberlane Regional School District students:

As you may be aware, the Rockingham County COVID infection rate fluctuated just above and below the TRSD COVID metric threshold for several days last week before increasing significantly over the last few days. As a result, I am contacting you to inform you that the Timberlane Regional School District will be moving to fully remote mode beginning Friday November 6th. This will allow for a more orderly transition for teachers, staff, parents and students.

This week’s schedule is as follows:

Monday November 2nd: Regular hybrid schedule. Cohort 1 students will be able to bring all resources and materials home.
*The increase to 4 days on-site for Grade 1 is delayed, these students will follow the current cohort model this week.

Tuesday November 3rd: No classes due to Professional Development

Wednesday November 4th: Normal Fully Remote Day

Thursday November 5th: Regular hybrid schedule. Cohort 2 students will be able to bring all resources and materials home.

Friday November 6th: All students fully remote until COVID metrics demonstrate a significant improvement.

During the week we will continue to monitor the local, county and state data and expect to make a decision about the week of November 9-13 by Friday November 6th. We also expect that the District decision regarding the educational model will be revisited weekly.

Sincerely,
Brian Cochrane Ph.D.
Interim Superintendent
SAU 55 – Hampstead and Timberlane School Districts
