Health Services – Mission Statement

We promote quality school health services by registered professional school nurses to advance the well-being, academic success and lifelong achievements of students. The school nurse facilitates positive student responses to normal development; promotes health and safety; intervenes with actual and potential health problems; provides case management services; and actively collaborates with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy and learning.

Health Screenings

TRSD Nurses perform routine screenings on students in kindergarten, in 4th grade, in 7th grade, and in 10th grade. These screenings may include blood pressure, vision, and hearing.
