If you have a student heading off to college as a freshmen for the Fall of 2017, this presentation is for you. The components of the financial award package, including federal student loans, grants and scholarships, and additional funding/financing options will be discussed. Presented by Val Castonguay from The NHHEAF Network and Barry Chooljian, Director of Guidance.

Tuesday, March 21st at 6:30 PM, TRHS Cafeteria
Parents of college bound juniors are invited to attend an informational night on pursing a post-secondary education. Counselors will present information on the college search process, visitations, applications, deadlines and financial aid. The meeting will begin in the cafeteria and will break out into smaller group sessions with counselors.
We look forward to working cooperatively with parents to help our juniors meet their post-secondary goals.
Juniors will receive this information in school during the week of March 13th so need not attend.

Salem High School will be hosting a Career & Technical Education Open House on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 6:30pm-8:00pm for prospective students and their parents. This is in conjunction with Salem’s course information night. CTE instructors will be in their classrooms and we will have CTE student tour guides available that night to assist. We also will have student representation in the classrooms that night to answer questions and provide information as well. This is an excellent opportunity for sophomores to view Salem’s programs. Tours will be leaving from the new Davis gym.

Due in March of senior year, the Timberlane Scholarship application is ONE form which makes students eligible to be selected for over 40 scholarships. These scholarships use the Timberlane Scholarship forms received by the March 9th at 3 pm deadline to decide the recipients from the Class of 2017. The majority of these scholarships are awarded on Scholarship Award Night. All senior students are advised to complete this scholarship form.

Congratulations to the 3 top sellers of the Yankee Candle Fundraiser for the class of 2020 3rd place goes to Brianna Brown who sold $354.00 2nd place goes to Brooke Mosher who sold $498 1st place, our top seller goes to Elizabeth McIntyre who sold $1008.00 worth of candles. Thank you to all members of the class of 2020 who participated. As a class we raised $5000.00.
Peer Outreach will be meeting Thursday after school in room 402. Quit Packs will be produced for the Great American Smoke Out which will be held this Friday in the café. Also, plans for upcoming training will be discussed. Please see Mr. Lena or Mrs. Mahoney if you have any questions.
ATTENTION JUNIORS – Semi tickets are now on sale during all lunch periods through Friday December 2nd. Tickets are $50 each and WILL NOT be sold at the door. Please remember that if you are bringing a date from outside Timberlane you MUST fill out a guest form in the AP office. If you have any questions see Mrs. LeFebvre or Senora Allen in MODS 3&4.

For students who are just getting started or need help completing their Common Application, our school counselors will be holding two work sessions days.
Common App Drop-in Days
Wednesday and Thursday, November 9th and 10th
7:30 am -2:30 pm
in the School Counseling (Guidance) Office Conference Room
Come on down during your free period to work on your Common App.
Counselors will be available all day to answer your questions, help you get started,
or put the finishing touches on your application.

If you are applying to a four year college, now the time to work on your college applications. To help Seniors with this process we will be holding more Common App work sessions. Counselors will be on hand to assist students and answer questions as they work on completing their common applications.
