Topics include a review of Junior Parent Night information, testing information, application deadlines, the common application, letters of recommendation, and types of scholarships. The process and protocols for applying to college through the guidance office will be reviewed.

Financial Aid Information for Parents of College Bound Seniors

The focus of the presentation will be on the Federal Financial Aid Form (FAFSA) and the types of aid available. Funding options, scholarship searches and the importance of deadlines were also discussed. This evening program helps families understand and evaluate financial aid packages. We discuss such issues as reporting outside scholarships, financing options, avoiding scholarship scams and writing special circumstance letters. Attendees will receive assorted reference materials.
