G Suite for Education

G Suite is used by Timberlane School District in a variety of ways:

  • Chromebooks (small computers that directly access Google accounts) are used by all grades
  • Google Classroom is used for Blizzard Bags and by many classroom teachers
  • Google Drive is used to store files and to use online tools and provide a platform that fosters collaboration
  • Samsung Galaxy tablets are used in grades K, 1, 2 and are administered by District Google administrators
  • Google Sites  is used by teachers and students to create and share online content
  • Google’s browser, Chrome, is used extensively across the district to access the web
  • Chrome allows additional tools called Apps and Extensions to enhance the functionality and provide accessibility and features
