Beginning July 1st, parents and guardians of incoming middle school students may register online their student for middle school sports by logging onto the middle school athletics’ home page. Both high school and middle school athletic web pages can be accessed at www.timberlane.net.
Tryout dates and times and will be located on the Timberlane Athletics Web Site as will Impact concussion testing information. We encourage all parents and guardians to review this important information on concussions.
Please note that all middle and high school students are required to have a pre-participation physical exam before competing in fall sports. A pre-participation sports physical exam is the necessary first-step toward sports injury prevention in youth athletes. Our contracted athletic trainer, Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, offers this sports physical to area students of all grade levels. The cost of the exam is $5.00. No appointments are necessary and athletes will be seen on a walk-in basis. It is important to note that this physical exam should not replace an annual physical or check-up with a pediatrician or primary care physician. More information about these low cost pre-participation exams may be obtained by calling Access Sports Medicine directly at 775-7575.
Finally, the plan for transitioning our new athletic trainer services with Access Sports Medicine will be presented to the Timberlane Regional School Board on June 6th.
Feel free to contact the Athletic Department at 382-6541 x3940 if you have any questions.
