Sandlot Sports and Entertainment Joins Timberlane Community Partnership Program
The Timberlane Regional School District Community Partnership Program is proud to announce our newest partnership with Sandlot Sports and Entertainment. Located at 56 North Road, Sandown, Sandlot offers summer aquatic programs, day camps and theatre based programs, as well as family and community style events throughout the year. Director Mitch Mencis has been overseeing programs at Sandlot for ten years and is looking forward to working directly with the Best Buddies Program at the High School. Best Buddies is a student-led volunteer program that creates one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Mr. Mencis has pledged to work with Best Buddies to support their events, both in and out of school, and to use the facilities of Sandlot Sports and Entertainment as a host site for year-round Best Buddies events. We look forward to working with Mr. Mencis and his staff at Sandlot Sports and Entertainment to find ways to grow and expand this partnership for the benefit of our school community. Please visit their website www.sandlotsportsnh.com to find out more about Sandlot Sports and Entertainment and all of the wonderful things they do for our students and community.
