Superintendent Establishes Transition Advisory Committee

September 2, 2016

As a result of a very successful Freshmen Orientation, Dr. Metzler has established a Superintendent’s Transition Advisory Committee whose mission will be to review the current student transition practice and make recommendations in developing a district-wide, parent-centered process that supports students when transitioning from one school to another, at all building levels.

The committee will be comprised of administrators and select parents and will be co-chaired by High School Assistant Principal Heather Roy and Director of Guidance Barry Chooljian and will meet on a quarterly basis.

“Providing a consistent transition plan throughout the district will align with the district’s commitment to increase rigor, evaluation, accountability and support which directly effects student achievement.”

Dr. Earl Metzler
Superintendent of Schools
